If your Discord live tile says Offline even though Discord shows you online, the most common cause is that you’re not in the Biolovers Discord server.

Why being in our server matters

Discord’s API only exposes presence data to bots that share a server with you. The Biolovers presence bot listens for the guildMemberUpdate / presence gateway events from every server it’s in — easiest of which to join is the Biolovers community Discord. If you don’t share any server with the bot, it literally can’t see your status — Discord refuses to tell it. (There’s no Lanyard relay in the loop — the bot pushes presence to your profile directly.)

Fix it

  1. Join the Biolovers Discord: biolovers.site/discord.
  2. Wait ~1 minute.
  3. Reload your profile page in another tab — your live tile should flip to your real status.
You don’t have to chat or do anything in the server — just be a member.

Other things to check

  • Linked the right Discord account? Open the Discord & Telegram panel and confirm the username shown matches your actual Discord.
  • “Show presence” toggle on? Same panel.
  • Discord set to Invisible? Invisible mode shows as Offline to everyone, including our bot. Set yourself to Online / Idle / DND.
  • Custom status with no game/Spotify? That’s normal — it’ll show your custom status text and the green dot.

Can I see presence without joining?

Not for live data. The card will show your last cached status (if any), but won’t update.
