# Browser tab (favicon, title, share preview)

> Customize the title and icon visitors see in their browser tab — plus the link-preview banner used by Discord, Slack, and iMessage. Premium.

## What this panel changes

Two surfaces:

1. **Browser tab** — the title and icon your visitor sees pinned to the top of the browser.
2. **Link previews + Google snippet** — the big card that appears when your URL is pasted into Discord / iMessage / Slack / Twitter, plus the Google search result.

## Custom tab title

Free text up to 70 characters. Empty = default `Biolovers | "@yourname"`.

Examples:

* `My studio`
* `Atlas — sound design`
* `Now playing 🎵`

## Tab title typewriter

Animates the tab title letter-by-letter and (optionally) rotates through extra phrases.

| Control                    | What it does                                  |
| -------------------------- | --------------------------------------------- |
| **Phrases (one per line)** | Lines to rotate through.                      |
| **Speed**                  | How fast each character types.                |
| **Loop**                   | Replay forever or stop after the last phrase. |

The typewriter on the tab title is part of the same **Premium typewriter** feature used on display name / @handle / bio — it stays disabled on the free tier.

## Favicon

The little icon in the browser tab.

* Formats: **PNG / WebP / GIF / JPEG / SVG**.
* Max **512 KB**.
* Square images crop best (browser tabs are square).

Hit **Remove** to revert to the default Biolovers icon.

## Link preview & SEO

This block controls how your page looks **outside** of biolovers.site — Google search results, Discord/Slack/iMessage embeds, Twitter cards.

### Page description

Up to **320 characters**. Used as:

* The Google snippet shown under your title in search results.
* The subtitle in Discord / iMessage / Twitter previews.

If empty, we use the first \~160 characters of your bio.

### Theme color

A hex color used for:

* The mobile browser address-bar tint when your page is open.
* The colored stripe down the side of Discord / Slack / iMessage previews.

### Share-preview banner (Open Graph image)

The big image at the top of social embeds.

* **Best size:** 1200 × 630 px.
* **Formats:** PNG / JPEG / WebP / GIF.
* **Max:** 2 MB.
* You can upload a file **or** paste an `https://` URL.

If empty, the embed shows **the site's default OG card** — not your avatar. Set this if you want a custom share image.

## Common questions

    Browsers cache favicons aggressively. Hit Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+R to hard-refresh. On mobile, fully closing the tab and reopening usually clears it.

  <Accordion title="Discord still shows the old preview after I changed it">
    Discord caches embeds for \~24h. To force a refresh, paste the link into a private channel — Discord re-fetches when the URL appears in a place it hasn't seen recently.

  <Accordion title="Can I make the tab title rotate forever?">
    Yes — turn on the **Loop** toggle on the typewriter. Note that this can be a battery drain on phones.
